The history of Joyería Suiza

A family story told in five chapters. Sixty-two years, three generations, a single house. And a dream that has not changed: making the craft an act of respect for the client.

  1. 1964

    Manuel Pato Feijoó

From Manuel Pato to the new ground floor

In the Vigo of the 1950s, Manuel Pato Feijoó set himself a goal: to grow the family jewellery business. At barely fifteen he set out on a new journey, first through the fairs of Orense, then Pontevedra, until he knew the whole of Galicia in detail.

In 1964 he opened the first jewellery shop in a small premises in the Vigo neighbourhood of As Travesas. The house, as we know it today, begins there.

    Pilar, Manuel Jr. and Gerardo

    A family behind the counter

Manuel and his wife, Pilar, together with their two eldest sons, Manuel and Gerardo, open a second shop in As Travesas, larger and better located.

A new expansion of the house

López de Neira, the first step into the centre of Vigo

The fine work of the new generations bore fruit, and the opening of new shops was soon planned. The opening on López de Neira street is the first step towards the commercial heart of the city.

Joyería Suiza began to be known in Vigo as a reference in fine Swiss watchmaking and high jewellery. It is the decade the brand portfolio expands.

    Venezuela 49 to this day

    A step from Gran Vía

In 1992 the Venezuela 49 boutique opened, in one of Vigo's finest shopping areas, a step from Gran Vía.

In 2013 an important decision was made: to gather every point of sale into a single boutique. A major renovation was carried out across its two floors. Thus was born the magnificent current space where the finest luxury watch and jewellery houses place their trust.

    A new management

The rebirth · a new Suiza

In 2026 the house reinvents itself without giving up its essence. The ground floor is fully renovated in three months to host the private brand corners. Eleven new houses join the catalogue. Joyería Suiza becomes Official Jeweller of RC Celta and official sponsor of the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo and of the “El Bribón” regatta yacht, skippered by King Emeritus Juan Carlos I.

A new management at the helm, the same faces on the shop floor. The lifelong team keeps welcoming clients at Venezuela 49 — because that, in a family house, is what never changes.

“We are not changing who we are. We keep doing it better.”— Third generation, 2026

The person who greets you at the door

Four people on the shop floor. The one who accompanies your purchase, the one who helps you choose, the one who remembers what you bought last year. They listen and they advise, because nobody knows the house like they do.
